Spoiler Alert — Terms of Service
Last updated: July 24, 2026
Best-effort protection. Spoiler Alert helps reduce accidental spoilers but does not guarantee every spoiler will be blocked.
These Terms govern your use of the Spoiler Alert Chrome extension. By installing or using Spoiler Alert, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
1. Service description
Spoiler Alert covers social-media and search posts that match titles on your watchlist. Detection is heuristic and runs on your device. It is a convenience tool, not a guarantee against all spoilers.
2. Preview vs Pro (lifetime unlock)
| Tier | Features |
|---|---|
| Preview (free forever) | Decorative cover (text readable), exact-title matching, 1 watchlist item, up to 3 preview gates/day. Limited demo — does not provide full protection. |
| Pro (lifetime unlock) | Strong animated covers, full matcher, unlimited watchlist, unlimited gates — $2.99 one-time, no subscription |
There is no free trial. Preview mode is available free to all users. Full protection requires the Pro lifetime unlock.
3. Payment and lifetime unlock
- The Pro unlock is a one-time payment of $2.99 USD. There is no subscription and no recurring charge.
- Once unlocked, Pro access is permanent. You will not be billed again.
- Prices may change for new purchases with reasonable notice; an existing unlock is not affected.
4. Refund policy
Contact spoileralertchrome@gmail.com within 14 days of your purchase for billing errors or material service issues. Refunds are handled case-by-case at our discretion.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to reverse engineer the extension, redistribute it, or abuse third-party websites through automated interference.
6. Disclaimer of warranties
Spoiler Alert is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant uninterrupted operation or that every spoiler will be detected.
7. Payments (ExtensionPay and Stripe)
The optional Pro lifetime unlock is processed by ExtensionPay using Stripe. Spoiler Alert does not store full card numbers. See ExtensionPay terms and Stripe privacy.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of Spoiler Alert or reliance on spoiler detection. Total liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for the extension or USD $10.
9. Privacy
See our Privacy Policy for data handling, storage, and contact for data requests.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms; the date above will change when we do.
